Recipe Box: How to Prepare Tomato Chutney:

Ingredients:

Onion – 2(Sliced)

Tomato – 6(Sliced)

Dry Coconut – Small Cup (Slices)

Fried Pea nuts – ¼ Cup

Chilies - 4

Garlic – 6 Cloves

Oil – 3tbsp

Tamarind – lemon size

Turmeric powder – pinch

Salt – Salt to taste

Procedure:

1) Heat pan, add 2tbsp oil, Garlic, Chilies and fry until ingredients becomes light golden color,

2) Add Onion and fry until onion slices becomes transparent. Once it’s ready cool it.

3) Once it is cool, separate all the ingredients as we will be adding Fried onions in the End and chilies and garlic will be used to grind it.

4) In the same pan, add 1tbsp oil – heat it and add Tomato slices, Tamarind, turmeric powder. Close the lid and cook until tomato cooked , once tomato cooked remove the lid and let it cook for another 5 min or until all water evaporates.

5) Now take a Mixer bowl, add Peanuts, dry coconut slices, Chilies, garlic, salt. Grind it to fine powder.

6) Now add the tomato mixture to the mixer bowl and grind it until it becomes thick paste.

7) Once the paste is ready add fried onion and mix well. Tomato chutney is ready.
